Singapore, 21 December 2017 – Verita Healthcare Group (Verita), through its wholly owned subsidiary Verita Life Holdings Pte Ltd, has acquired a 50.1% stake in Cancer Care Holdings Limited Mexico (CCHIM) which is establishing an integrative oncology clinic in Tijuana, Mexico targeting the high demand from cancer patients based in the USA. Verita will provide a renewable 5-year license of brand and intellectual property to the clinic and will hold a controlling interest in the clinic operations.

BACKGROUND

Like Thailand, Mexico is a recognised hub for medical tourism, and particularly for patients interested in cancer treatments and support. In addition to local marketing initiatives, Verita Connect, Verita’s medical tourism division, will direct patient enquiries to the clinic from the USA and South America.
